Service Availability

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice

Account Registration and Security

To access certain features, you must create an account and maintain its security.

Account Requirements

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • You may register via email/password or Google Sign-In
  • Only one account per individual or organization is permitted

Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately at contact@h0p.co of any unauthorized access
  • We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account
  • You must not share your account credentials with others

Account Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
  • We may terminate accounts that have been inactive for more than 2 years
  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting contact@h0p.co
  • Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases
  • We reserve the right to delete data 30 days after account termination

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use H0p only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Permitted Uses

  • Shortening URLs for legitimate personal or business purposes
  • Sharing content that you have the right to share
  • Creating branded short links for marketing campaigns
  • Tracking analytics for your own links
  • Using our API within rate limits

Prohibited Activities

  • Creating links to illegal content or content that violates third-party rights
  • Phishing, fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
  • Distributing malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or abusive content
  • Content promoting violence, hatred, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Adult content, obscenity, or sexually explicit material (without age verification)
  • Violating intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark infringement)
  • Circumventing geographic or technical restrictions
  • Abusing or manipulating our analytics system
  • Creating shortened links that mislead users about the destination

Service Abuse

  • Excessive use that degrades service performance for others
  • Automated link creation beyond API rate limits
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the service
  • Scraping or data mining without authorization
  • Creating accounts to circumvent service limitations or bans
  • Using the service to compete directly with H0p

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of URLs, metadata, and content you submit
  • You grant H0p a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, store, and display your content to provide the service
  • You are solely responsible for the content you link to and share
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you submit
  • We may remove or disable links that violate these Terms without notice

H0p Intellectual Property

  • All service code, design, logos, and trademarks are owned by H0p or its licensors
  • You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works
  • You may not remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
  • The H0p name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without written permission

User Feedback

  • Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide become our property
  • We may use feedback without compensation or attribution
  • Feedback is provided without any confidentiality obligations

Payment and Subscriptions

Terms governing paid subscriptions and billing.

Subscription Plans

  • We offer free and paid subscription tiers with different features
  • Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
  • Prices are displayed in EUR and include applicable taxes
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Payment Processing

No Liability for User Content

  • We do not pre-screen or monitor all user-generated content
  • We are not liable for damages caused by third-party content
  • Users are solely responsible for links they create and share

Service Modifications

  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time
  • We may impose usage limits or restrictions without notice
  • No guarantee of backwards compatibility for API changes
  • Major changes will be communicated with reasonable notice

Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by French law, H0p shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or loss of goodwill
  • Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • For free accounts, our liability is limited to €50 EUR
  • These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, etc.)
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so these may not apply to you
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days
  • If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved in French courts
  • EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Class Action Waiver

  • To the extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought individually
  • You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits
  • You waive the right to act as a representative in class proceedings
